Dukkah, Duqqa, du'ah, or do'a, is a Middle Eastern spice mix, thought to originate in Egypt, consisting of a mixture of herbs, nuts, and spices.
There are many variations on the dukkah recipe, each with its own ratio of different nuts, seeds and spices. The basic ingredients are nuts, sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin, pepper and salt. Dried thyme or mint can be added, dried chilli, anise seeds, fennel seeds etc.
